The Aristocrats

So The Adjudicator was in town for his yearly escape from Japan’s version of summer (read: like the surface of the sun, only with more humidity,) and we headed off to the movies to see “The Aristocrats”. It’s been billed as the filthiest movie ever made and… I don’t know as I agree, so much. Basically, “The Aristocrats” is a documentary of comedians telling their different versions of the filthiest joke ever told. And though I can handle my fair share of filth, I still felt like the South Park movie was way more shocking, with its songs about uncle-fucking, and its giant clitorises and its former world leaders sleeping with Satan (pre-spider hole). “The Aristocrats” does conjure up some pretty gross imagery, but for the most part it’s just repetition of your standard fucking and sucking and shitting. The best clip out of the whole movie is in fact the one where the kids from South Park tell the joke. (How’s that for vindication for me?)

Now the Adjudicator tells me that he didn’t enjoy the movie. He said it was too vulgar. Seriously. THE ADJUDICATOR thought the movie was too vulgar. The very same man who taught me what “choda” and “smegma” meant thought this movie was too vulgar. The very same man who told me that he wished he could refer to people as “clit-lickers” instead of, say, “buddy” or “pal” found “The Aristocrats” too vulgar. I’ll let you ponder that for a second.
