Wow. What isn't wrong with this movie? We went to see it looking for some fare along the lines of Billy Elliot. What we got was a big old mess. It's about two young British brothers who find themselves in possession of a whackload of Pounds just before Britain is supposed to convert to the Euro. I don't know if it's supposed to be a commentary on need or greed, but either way, it's not worth your time. It's not quite a kids movie - though the soundtrack is more than a bit reminiscent of Harry Potter. The director can't seem to make up his mind if he's going for Christopher Columbus or Tim Burton. Dude, that's not the kind of schizophrenia you want to have! The kid, though endearing with his translucent ears, goes through all these creepy weird Saint visions. And the ending? With the ghost of his mother? And the world's worst line of all time? Yeah, save your money.
